PASTOR/CLERGY APPRECIATION MONTH: October is Pastor/Clergy Appreciation Month, a special time that congregations set aside each year to honor their pastors/clergy for the hard work, sacrificial dedication and multiple blessings they provide. Paul urged Christian communities to acknowledge those “who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you,” holding these spiritual leaders “in the highest regard in love because of their work.” Bring/send a card, Cash App, write a note of appreciation or give a gift card to express our love for Pastor Scott’s service and the service of our associate ministers.
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH: Our Healthcare and Wellness Ministry reminds us that October is Breast CANCER Awareness Month. 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her life. Early Detection is KEY! When breast cancer is detected early and is localized, the 5 year- survival rate is 99%. Schedule annual mammograms. Wear pink to show your support.
