BIBLE STUDY: Wednesdays at noon and 6 p.m. Most classes are studying 1 John. Classes serve children through adults.  Special classes for male and female middle and high school students meet at 6 p.m. Bible study will not meet Dec. 19 and 26.

TIS THE SEASON: NAHDIA&NOLAN PALMORE’S “Socks, Gloves and Love” project is collecting socks and gloves(all sizes) for children with sickle cell disease and their siblings at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.  Donation containers are in the vestibules and church office.

SINGLE AND SINGLE AGAIN MINISTRY: ºWashington St. UMC is seeking volunteers to serve Christmas Dinner to homeless persons Saturday. Set-up is at 11:30 a.m.; serving at 1 p.m. If you are interested in participating, come out and serve in the capacity you choose. ºSingles meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m., lower fellowship hall. Potluck dinner; bring a covered dish. The ministry is serving homeless persons downtown Dec. 29. Meet at the church to prepare food trays at 9 a.m. Departing at 11:30 a.m. to serve the meals at the corner of Huger and Hampton streets.

LEGAL ASSISTANCE MINISTRY:  The Legal Assistance Ministry is hosting a workshop on predatory lending presented by the S.C. Appleseed  Justice Center , Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. , Carpenter’s Annex. Please attend and bring a friend.

S.C. CONGRESS OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION 2019 WORKSHOPS: Jan. 12 –Christian Education; Feb. 2-Vacation Bible School; March 9 –Church School; April 13 –Youth/Youth Workers; 8 a.m.-12 p.m., All workshops are held at Benedict College at 8:30 a.m.  Annual Session is July 15-19, West Florence High School.  These workshops are open to persons currently teaching in the church as well as others interested in becoming teachers. Persons interested in attending workshops should contact the church office at 803-254-6232 or email fnjp@sc.rr.com    Registration is underway for the Jan. 12 workshop. There is no charge to attendees.
