We are excited to launch our $10/$10 Campaign to collect donations to support both our Community Service and Scholarship efforts. Please donate $10.00 to each of these to help support those less fortunate in our communities and to help empower women who are striving to obtain a college degree.

2017 GRADUATES: The names of all K5, elementary, middle, high school, college/professional school graduates must be submitted to the church office by May 19. SENIOR CITIZENS MINISTRY TRIP: Come travel with our seniors to Tunica, MS and Memphis, TN, June 18-24. Cost is $530; $75 deposit as soon as possible. ATTENTION : The 140 Anniversary Committee needs one or two Volunteers with Expertise in Events Space Planning (Indoors/Outdoors) – PLEASE! Requires experience in planning layouts for indoors/outdoors and for multiple activities. We need to plan ahead for our FNBC’s September event. DIABETES SELF-MANAGEMENT:
The Healthcare and Wellness Ministry, in partnership with the Stanford Diabetes Self-Management Program, is offering a free, 6-week session, primarily for persons age 65 and older with Medicare and a medical diagnosis of diabetes and caregivers of persons with diabetes. However, persons who don’t have Medicare and who are younger than 65 may participate. Classes are scheduled May 16, 23 and 30 and June 6 and 20, 10 a.m.-noon. DISASTER EMERGENCY RELIEF MINISTRY(DERM):
DERM mobilizes staff and equipment and enlists volunteers to provide emergency aid to victims of tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and other natural disasters and often stay behind after the initial response to rebuild or restore houses for families in need.DERM has received 16 new home repair requests to assistance victims of the flood in Lower Richland. DERM currently is building two new homes for seniors who lost their homes in the October flood. DERM can use volunteers-skilled or unskilled- to assist. FNBC Trustee Ministry presents FNBC COMMEMORATIVE BRICK PROJECT: Honor the memory of loved ones and commemorate life events as a permanent part of the First Nazareth’s physical structure with this endearing brick project. MIDLANDS BAPTIST ASSOCIATION YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE: If your child is interested in playing on a First Nazareth basketball team, call the church office, 254-6232. Co-ed teams serve ages 8-12 and 13-18.


CONGRATULATIONS: Among the 18 persons honored by the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods during their recent Tenth Annual Neighborhood Awards Banquet and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony were our own Sylvia Jenkins (Belvedere) and Emma McGraw Myers (Jones-McDonald).


Our DEACON MINISTRY has implemented a Volunteer Home Repair Ministry(VHRM). This ministry provides simple home repairs for eligible senior members who are homeowners. Application forms are available through the church office.
